SCRIPT WRITING
In Script Writing you will learn the basics of writing a great script from comedic input to intensity building to emotional scenes. Students will write their own creative 5 minute short script plus together will create a full length show script. The intention being that this script is to be used by our theatre students to showcase.
LET’S DO SKITS
In this class students will learn short scripts including humorous, emotional and intense with a focus on delivery, spacial awareness, the creation of the character, emotion, individuality and collaboration with classmates. Students will perform at our end of semester showcases.
SCREEN ACTING
Completely different than stage acting students will learn how to speak, walk, act and deliver emotionally appropriate performances. They will also learn how to create their own slates for audition as well as get a recording of their favourite pieces.
Students videos may be displayed at our end of semester showcases.
ACT PRIVATES
Students will be challenged to grow by learning multiple pieces such as poetry, scripts and speeches. They will learn the art of different emotions, how to memorise scripts and remember them and if interested may choose to enter local competitions and perform at our end of semester showcases.
